Launched in January 2025, TASC is a founding member of the Global Data Partnership Against Forced Labour

Hosted by the World Economic Forum, the Global Data Partnership brings together global businesses (HPE, Exiger, Amazon), international bodies (including the IOM and the ILO) and civil society organisations to innovate how data sharing practices could be leveraged to tackle forced labour.

TASC is proud to have contributed to the development of the Global Data Partnership’s White Paper, available to download here

The Global Data Partnership is part of TASC’s wider Responsible Business programme. We are in the process of developing an e-learning course for supply chain professionals. The course development is informed by our research findings on the drivers and barriers that businesses face in embedding human rights centred practices in their operations.

PAST EVENTS

February 2026 – OECD Forum on Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear Sector

TASC attended the OECD Forum in Paris, which convened experts and stakeholders from business, government, trade unions, civil society, academia and other key groups to discuss challenges and solutions to implementing due diligence in global garment and footwear supply chains. Topics covered in the sessions included how to shift from audit-based compliance to due diligence, building trusts between manufacturers and brands and the elements of effective remediation plans, providing valuable insights that inform our ongoing work.

November 2025 – Advancing the Impact of BS 25700 – Modern Slavery Conference at King’s Business School

Our CEO Sarah Woodcock was invited to speak on a panel on making a business case for Mandatory HRs due diligence. This event focused on accelerating the impact of BS 25700 to eradicate labour exploitation.

July 2025 – Focus Group Discussions

To inform the development of our e-learning course, we held two focus group discussions with business leaders across procurement, supply chains, sustainability and other core business functions, moderated by supply chain expert Sarah Barnes-Humphrey. The insights from these discussions helped us identify the challenges that business professionals currently face in better embedding human rights in their operations and helped us choose course contents that will address their needs.

January 2025 – Cambridgeshire Modern Slavery Charter

Birketts, the High Sheriff of Cambridge, and the business community of Peterborough and Cambridge have been working together with Caroline Haughey OBE KC to develop the UK’s first county-wide Modern Slavery Charter. TASC joined Baroness Theresa May and others at an event in January to contribute to the development of the Charter. It reflects a business commitment to stand against modern slavery, but will also facilitate learning and the sharing of information to help businesses guard against labour exploitation. Cambridgeshire is taking the lead on this issue – we hope more counties will follow.

January 2025 – Let’s Talk Supply Chain podcast with host Sarah Barnes-Humphrey

TASC was invited to speak on the Let’s Talk Supply Chains podcast on ‘Sustainability and the Modern Slavery Act: What Supply Chains Must Prepare For’. The discussion focused on the critical shift from voluntary modern slavery reporting to mandatory regulatory compliance, and how to prepare supply chain leaders for upcoming regulation to ensure they can retain essential customers and avoid operational disruptions.
